Tonight's Card Class

Hi! Well our class tonight was a great success as everyone had a lot of fun! I was a little bit ambitious, however, because I planned four cards and most of my stampers are beginners. I think I need to scale back a bit and make most of the projects a bit simpler. Maybe just one project that is more involved. We only got three of our cards made, but the last project is ready and waiting for next time. I will get busy tomorrow and post a new card or two. Thanks for listening.

Hello my inky Friends!

I have been thinking and thinking about what I want to sign off my blog posts with. I have been trying to come up with something creative and finally decided I wanted to honor someone I love. My dear sister-in-law, Jatonne Maner, was taken from us by breast cancer in March of 2003. She was a big card sender and loved shopping for cards and sending cards for every occasion. She always ended every correspondence with Crackers and Kisses! Jatonne
We so miss her notes and cards, and of course we so miss her! I have decided to honor her by taking on the use of her signature! Jatonne-we miss you so much!

Encouragement Card

I created this card tonight for my best friend, Nortina, who struggles with Lupus and MS. She is experiencing some overwhelming problems right now and I would ask that everyone keep her in your prayers. She is one of the most wonderful, giving people I have ever known and she needs our prayers.

This card was created with Mojo Monday sketch #88.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Absolutely Fabulous

Paper: Rose Red Cardstock, Regal Rose Cardstock, Rose Red Designer Patterns, Watercoler Paper

Ink: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red

Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Eyelet Border Punch, Family Treasures Scalloped Punch, Sponge Dauber

The technique I used was the reinker spread. I did not have any shimmery white so I used watercolor paper. The ink does not spread quite the way I think it is supposed to, but it still came out pretty.

Thanks for looking.

Rememberance

Today is the anniversary of the death of my precious husband, James, whom I lost four years ago today. It has been a sad day, however, thoughtful reflection of the wonderful times we shared has made me smile many times.

James, I miss you!

Hi! Now for my third card...I did this one so that my stampers could customize what name they wanted on their card. This would also work saying wonderful husband.
Stamps: Wonderful Favorites
Paper: DSP from Simply Scrappin' Kit Tailor Made, Kraft Cardstock, Sahara Sand Cardstock
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Eyelets from ??? (had them forever)
Thanks for looking!
